We are individuals who enjoy working with one another as a team but also work well independently. Some employees work remotely from their homes, but interact with the corporate office daily. These employees are known as Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) employees. The corporate office provides SOHO employees the same level of support provided to on-site employees. Retirement Plan Administrator

Salary: dependent on experience
Location: Seattle, WA
Hours: Full Time

Responsibilities

  • * Support a team responsible for servicing company sponsored retirement plans
  • * Review plan documents, understand retirement plan provisions and accurately apply to client and participant circumstances, including distributions, loans and vesting
  • * Contribution calculations. Prepare projected and actual plan contributions. Cross testing experience a plus
  • * Recommend and discuss plan design changes with client services manager
  • * Review of census data, determine employee eligibility and participation
  • * Collect and track necessary information for completion of valuation reports, including working with multiple types of investment providers
  • * Complete and review contribution calculations (age weighted, integrated, cross tested, etc.)
  • * Reconcile trust assets to participant accounts
  • * Perform annual testing including coverage, top heavy and non-discrimination testing
  • * Preparation of 5500 Forms, related schedules and other IRS Forms
  • * Prepare and process distribution packages for terminated, retired or deceased plan participants
  • * Calculate amount available for loans and process loan paperwork
  • * Assist client in locating missing participants
  • * Review QDRO, calculate and process distributions to alternate payee
  • * Compliance review and processing of loans, hardship withdrawals and other distributions
  • * Determine RMD eligible, calculate and communicate distributions to be taken or waived
  • * Work and communicate with Sponsors and Participants in processing requests
  • * Prepare quarterly management reports and participant statements
  • * Firm grasp of Plan Errors and working knowledge of correction methods


An ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

  • * 2+ years retirement plan administration experience, preferably with defined contribution plans
  • * Proficiency with Investlink and FT William software is preferred although not required
  • * Daily recordkeeping or trading experience is preferred although not required
  • * Superb communication skills and a commitment to superior customer service
  • * Excellent attention to detail, proficient with numbers and basic calculations
  • * Solutions oriented and ability to handle changing and competing responsibilities are necessary skills when working in an emerging business, like Leading Retirement Solutions
  • * Strong command of technology and ability to easily and quickly learn new software solutions
  • * Works well with a team, including other team members who work remotely/virtually
  • * Proficiency is required with Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, browsing network directories, and dual screens as we are a paperless office

Retirement Plan Associate

Salary: dependent on experience
Location: Seattle, WA
Hours: Full Time

Responsibilities

  • * Support the implementation, maintenance, and service of company sponsored retirement plans;
  • * Develop and maintain the client implementation process, workflow improvement initiatives, and program/policy changes
  • * Uphold the client onboarding process, including account and plan set up, monitoring implementation activities, proactively work with referral partners and clients to obtain information and documentation needed for successful onboarding of clients;
  • * Maintain high level of customer satisfaction through your oversight and coordination of referral and client relationships;
  • * Coordinate and complete the plan design and implementation process for and with each client and their service providers;
  • * Coordinate with other team members to successfully complete all retirement plan implementation activities;
  • * Drive Customer behavior by providing excellent support to clients, including outbound phone calls/email campaigns, obtain outstanding client documents, update client information and communicate outstanding invoices.
  • * Create online accounts for each client, including delivering account login information and increasing utilization of online accounts by participants.
  • * Provide superior service and support to referral partners and clients by timely responding to requests and resolving account issues;
  • * Support the team in developing new business and managing existing relationships;
  • * Contribute to and strengthen LRS’ value propositions by developing training materials, preparing communication and hosting team and client training;
  • * Conduct 2 month and 9 month follow up calls with our clients;
  • * Prepare enrollment kits and train our clients and their key stake holders;
  • * Support the quarterly benefit statement process for our clients;
  • * Assist with organization, maintenance and editing of retirement plan legal documents;
  • * Respond to client inquiries within a two business hour time frame;

Preferred experience and qualifications include:

  • * High School Diploma required, Associates degree preferred;
  • * Experience in the retirement plan, investment, insurance or banking industries;
  • * Proficiency is required with Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, browsing network directories, and dualscreens as we are a paperless office;
  • * Superb communication skills and a commitment to superior customer service;
  • * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, proficient with numbers and basic calculations;
  • * A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations.
